It a derp move, it looks like Hasbro is wanting to change Derpy’s name to something else. We can’t let that happen.

Some folks decided a petition would be the way to go. As much as I hate to admit it, it is the best way to raise awareness to what’s a stupid decision on Hasbro’s part. 

From the permission: “‘Derp’ is not a slur against mentally disabled people. Derp is a word expressing messing something up, regardless of mental ability. There is absolutely nothing offensive about it, especially when Derpy was created by an error, or a ‘derp.’ Her character evolved entirely around that, making her a very ditzy pony, but NOT disabled.”

Seriously, it sounds like FOX News v.s. video games all over again. Pure ridiculousness.

“While im also disabled (im suffering from several mental diseases) i never found derpy offendend. she is absolute adorable and she made me very happy! i dont understand all this trouble around her, please dont change what we love cause of some people that think they have a higher morality standard then the people who are actualy affected with mental diseases, thank you for taking time to read my little lines ”
